At the heart of the Amazon, lungs of the world, Dr. Maria Luisa Piraquive promotes the values extending a helping hand to those in need in Leticia – Amazon.
With the development of recreational and educational spaces that include teaching the values such as respect and love among others, as tools for the different fields of knowledge and human performance; children, youth, adults and seniors participating in educational campaigns as”Día de la Persona Mayor”, “Un Día Para el Niño”, “Descubrir la Capacidad, Una Oportunidad” and workshops as Welfare for the Elderly.
This work based on the self example and teachings of Dr.María Luisa who working for helping others, this give rise to teams of volunteers who spend overcome obstacles and challenges to bring aid to indigenous communities and meet the needs most pressing of vulnerable populations.
Becouse the happiness of the others is our happiness, and as evidenced by Leticia volunteers , the values are the foundation of happiness.
