London seniors learn solidarity and teamwork through activities that promote unity and collaboration

The María Luisa de Moreno International Foundation held a support events part of the Strategic Line “Help Us to Help”, at the White Mansion Stansted Lodge Senior Club in London. The event focused on elderly individuals, with the main themes being “The Value of Solidarity” and “Teamwork Skills.”

The guests began the day enjoying music from the 50s, 60s and 70s and had the opportunity to meet our mascot Hormy, who represents the teamwork that defines us. Hormy also interacted with the audience throughout the entire event.
As part of the programme, attendees received a talk on Physical Wellbeing and enjoyed a pleasant Classic Rhythm & Blues musical performance by one of the teachers from Stansted Lodge Senior Club.

Through fun recreational activities, the guests engaged in exercises promoting solidarity and teamwork skills, which were the central themes of the day.

Additionally, as part of the integration games, the Foundation gave away household appliances, home linens, gift baskets, dinner vouchers, personal care session vouchers, and more. Makeup sessions were also provided for the female guests. All of this was made possible thanks to our donors, including Currys Brixton, Olivelli and PizzArte restaurants, Essential Beauty, and Stansted Lodge Senior Club, the latter of which kindly provided the venue for the event.

The María Luisa de Moreno International Foundation was attentive to guests throughout the day, offering them a delicious snack at the beginning and end with an afternoon tea with canapés, followed by a wonderful gift: a home essentials kit that was given to every attendee.

Overall, it was a wonderful day full of joy and togetherness, where all our senior guests had a great time and left with a beautiful smile on their faces.
The Foundation sincerely thanks Stansted Lodge Senior Club and all the sponsors and collaborators of the event.

Thanks to the commitment of Dr. María Luisa Piraquive, along with volunteers and donors, the Foundation continues to expand its reach and support those in need.
