The María Luisa de Moreno International Foundation held the event “One Day for Kids” in Hamilton, Canada. The goal was to teach children how to identify and manage the different emotions they may experience at various moments in their lives, while also emphasizing the importance of communicating these feelings with their families in a safe and loving environment.
The children participated in a dynamic day that included a workshop on recognizing emotions. Through engaging activities, they learned that it is normal to feel emotions such as joy, love, sadness, and fear. They were also encouraged to express these feelings to their families in a timely manner, while parents and family members were reminded of the importance of fostering a trusting and secure environment where each child feels free to express themselves.
The event also featured a performance by Hormy, where children and their families enjoyed songs, dances, and the distribution of complete school supply kits, along with many other gifts, making the day truly unforgettable for all beneficiaries.
On behalf of all the beneficiaries and volunteers, we extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. María Luisa and all the donors who contributed to this event. Your generosity and support were instrumental in providing children and their families with a memorable and enriching experience.
