“One Day for Kids” in Ottawa – Canada

More than 50 children from the city of Ottawa, Canada, enjoyed the event “A Day for the Child” organized by the María Luisa de Moreno International Foundation. The objective was to teach values such as respect, love towards others, towards themselves and the importance of care of the animals. The children were benefited from Gifts, snacks, games, contests, crafts and Hormys’ Show.

It was a day full of joy and activities where kids between 3-12 years old participated in a Zumba activity, so they could exercise in a fun way, learning the importance of maintaining an active life in sports. And through a specialized person, the children had the opportunity to interact with different animals, learning the importance of them, their care and different curious facts, this activity was done by The Zoo Crew.

The children enjoyed a day full of teachings through different recreational activities, and a play entitled “The King’s Garden”, through which children were taught not to be envious, to value themselves and not to doubt of their abilities, because each one is important with their virtues. Additionally, the Hormy Show was presented, which the children received with great enthusiasm and at the end of the event, raffles were held, as well as the delivery of school kits.

It should be noted that thanks to sponsorship and donations from different companies and persons, the Foundation was able to benefit both children and parents with a delicious snack. In addition, we counted on the valuable help of more than 35 volunteers during this day. Because helping is our job!
