06 Sep: Clean up of adopted park in London – Canada

Maria Luisa de Moreno International Foundation in Canada adopted Jesse Davidson’s Park in London, Ontario, Canada two years ago with the commitment of keeping the park clean by conducting regular clean ups.

The City of London invited Maria Luisa de Moreno International Foundation in Canada to the Adopt-A- Park Celebration Event on September 6, 2014 to recognized us for our work cleaning Jesse Davidson’s park with a certificate.

19 Ago: We celebrated “One Day for Kids” in London – Canada

On August 9th, 2014, we celebrated “One Day for Kids” in London, Canada. Over 100 children attended the event where they enjoyed a day full of presents, activities and food. More than 200 presents were handed to children, including 5 athletic scholarships on a multi-sport program for children between the ages of 6 and 12.

We thank Dr. Maria Luisa Piraquive for her example and for teaching us the importance of giving.

09 Ago: Celebration for Colombians in Mississauga, Toronto – Canada

“We are Colombians and will remain Colombians in any part of the world”, said by an attendee at the Colombian Independence Day celebration in Canada. On August 9th 2014, the city of Mississauga Ontario, inhabited mainly by Colombians, celebrated “Colombia in Mississauga”, an event filled by approximately 4000 patriotic individuals from various nationalities. The event counted with the participation of 25 organizations, including governmental bodies and the Maria Luisa de Moreno International Foundation- Canada (MLMIFC).

09 Ago: One Day for Kids in Montréal – Canada

In the 2014, the raise awareness and educate children on how beautiful and rewarding it is to help others.

Activity for children under 12, where they were offered food, gifts, surprises, and recreational activities. During the event a strategic space was adapted so that children could donate, achieving the objective of raising awareness of the importance of donating to help others.

24 Abr: Donations for a Family Breakfast in Hamilton – Canada

On April 24, 2014, a day was held to deliver breakfast items to help 20 families with low resources in Hamilton, Ontario – Canada, with the main objective, to rescue the value of sharing with family by teaching moral values as the basis for enjoying every moment of life. The event was held at the “Immigrant Women’s Centre” Organization, allowing members of each family, appreciate these spaces to enjoy together.

Attendees were pleasantly identified with this work, expressing words of gratitude and recognizing the work that Dr. Maria Luisa realizes in the world, rescuing the values that are fundamental for happiness. The donations for this delicious breakfast included bread, cereal, milk, coffee and fruit juices, which were packed in reusable bags.
