In Toronto, Canada, in collaboration with Second Harvest and through its program called “Feeding Our Future”, FIMLM extended its helping hand to 600 children during the summer months of 2022. For nine consecutive weeks, the children received kits with recreational materials and healthy snacks, such as vegetables, fruits and proteins, which would otherwise be unaffordable for these children living in low-income communities, during these out-of-school months.
At the end of the summer and to culminate this great program, the children enjoyed a beautiful celebration with the Hormy musical show, which taught them values through music and games. There were raffles, through which 6 bicycles, toys, and various other wonderful prizes were awarded.
During these celebrations, they received recreational kits for the summer in a beautiful MLMIF backpack These fantastic recreation kits contained: a basketball, Volleyball or soccer ball; a book, a cute stuffed animal, a box of cookies, a pack of crayons and a pack of markers. It was a wonderful day of smiles, happiness and lots of fun!!
